Crochet Medallion Sheath Dress Pattern

Crocheted Sheath : This pattern contains directions for crochet the dress and stole pictured. This is a medallion dress. Crochet the individual medallions in your choice of three different Crochet Cottons. Work the 1-1/4 inch medallions all in one color, as directed, or branch out and try some tone on tone designs for lovely results. The medallions are joined together to form sections .. skirt front and back, bodice, straps and stole, which are joined to create the finished dress. This one of a kind piece is sure to become a favorite. The pattern, vintage 1952, is written for misses size 10, with changes for 12 and 14 in parentheses. This is an easy to slightly intermediate design.

• J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30; Small Ball, J. &. P. Coats, 36 balls of White or Ecru for Size 10; 40 balls for Size 12 and 44 balls for Size 14;
• OR Clark's O.N.T. 53 balls of White or Ecru for Size 10; 59 balls for Size 12 and 65 balls for Size 14; or J. & P. Coats Big Ball Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet Size 30, 22 balls for Size 10; 24 balls for Size 12 and 26 balls for Size 14
• OR Clark's Big Ball Three Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30, 16 balls of White or Ecru for Size 10; 17 balls for Size 12 and 18 balls for Size 14; balls for Size 14 or Clark's Big Ball Three Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30, 16 balls of White or Ecru for Size 10; 17 balls for Size 12 and 18 balls for Size 14;
• Milwards Steel Crochet Hook, No. 10;
• Crown Zipper (placket) 13" long;
