Description

No 4036 :  This pattern contains instructions to crochet a set of Glass Jackets as well as Coasters.   Glass Jackets were quite popular in the 1940s through the 1960s, keeping our drinks cooler as well as the sweater factor down on the glass.  They came in a variety of designs.  This set being one of them.  The pattern not only includes a pattern of glass jackets, but corresponding coasters as well.  These designs are vintage 1949 from Coats Clarks. 

Materials - Glass Jackets:  J&P Coats or Clarks ONT Pearl Cotton, Size 5, 4 balls of white and 3 balls of Steel Blue will make 6 jackets; Steel Crochet Hook No 6

Materials - Coasters: J&P Coats or Clarks ONT Pearl Cotton, Size 5, 2 balls each of white and blue (to make 5 coasters); Steel crochet hook No 6
