Hairpin Lace Afghan Pattern in Blue White

Blue and White : This pattern contains directions to make the afghan shown. This pretty piece is a combination of crochet and hairpin lace made in white and color coordinated (in the example, blues), shades of a secondary color. It is finished with thick fringe on the long ends. From corner to corner, such great color balance and textural appeal. When completed, the afghan will measure 54 x 76 inches, before fringe. The pattern is vintage 1960s from American Thread.

• 20 ounces National Blue and Med. Blue
• 24 ounces Twinkle Blue
• 12 ounces White
• Aluminum Crochet Hook SIZES H AND J
• 1 ½ inch Hairpin Staple

GAUGE for size J Hook: 3 d c = 1 inch
