Description

Hand Painted Halter : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the top pictured. This design, vintage 1952, is a timeless design that never goes out of summer style. The halter top, with a lowered neckline has straps that wrap and secure around the neck with button closure. The front has button detail and - optionally - instructions are included to paint a motif of your choice on the front. The pattern is written for misses size 14, with changes for 16 and 18 in parentheses.

Materials:

  • Bernat Boucle de Laine (1 1/3 oz. Ball) 4 (4, 5) balls.
  • Nos. 0 and 2 knitting needles.
  • Steel crochet hook No. 5.
  • 9 Costumaker Buttons.
  • 1 ¾ yds. Of 1 ½" grosgrain ribbon.
  • Cotton Textile Paints.

GAUGE: 8 sts=1"; 12 rows 1".

Bust Measurements Blocked: 33 (35, 37)".
