Alice Brooks 6392 Crochet Doily Pattern

Crocheted Doilies: These crocheted doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They make very attractive buffet and luncheon sets or they can be used as odd doilies. The doilies may be crocheted in small, medium and large sizes. The small doilies are 4 or 6", the medium doilies are 9-1/2 or 12" and the large are 14 or 17" in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6392 in 1939.

Materials:

• Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook,
• or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.

The large doily requires approximately 272 yards of heavy cotton or 200 yards of fine cotton; the medium sized doily requires approximately 150 yards of heavy cotton or 105 yards of fine cotton; the small doily requires approximately 33 yards of heavy cotton or 25 yards of fine cotton.
