Description

Crocheted Centerpiece:  This pattern contains directions for a crocheted swan in sparkling white to be used as a centerpiece. Use either heavy Jiffy Cotton or three strands of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. Starch for stiffness.  When finished, the swan is 8 inches tall and 14 inches long. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7033.  The official newspaper description:  "Elegant centerpiece for your dining table! A graceful swan, easy to crochet with a border of lacy pineapples. Fill it with fruit or colorful flowers.  The pattern was featured in Alice Brooks 1956 Design Catalog.
