Alice Brooks 7490 Pineapple Flower Crochet Doily Pattern

Crocheted Doilies:  This pattern contains directions for making a set of two doilies. They can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The doilies can be used as luncheon or buffet sets, or they can be used as odd doilies.  Crochet doilies in large or small sizes.  The large doilies are 18 or 12 inches; the small doilies are 12 or 9 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7490 in 1943.   

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard skeins) and a No. 9 steel crochet hook;   or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.  Each large doily requires approximately 212 yards of heavy cotton or 162 yards of fine cotton.   Each small doily requires approximately 115 yards of heavy cotton or 83 yards of fine cotton.
