Description

Crocheted Square:  This pattern contains directions for a simple crocheted square to be made in either fine or heavy cotton. Squares join to form bedspreads, cloths, scants, TV covers and other articles. If desired, matching edging may be worked to sew around small articles or a plain picot edging may be worked around joined squares.  Depending upon materials selected, the square will measure 6-1/2 or 9 inches.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7244 in 1957.   "Dress up your home with this elegant design - beginner simple!  Large crochet squares work up quickly; make many smart articles.
