This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5675 in 1948.  "An elderly crocheting enthusiast tells me she has been giving these 'peace and plenty' doilies as wedding gifts to her young friends for years. The 'increasing' design must have inspired the idea of plenty. You'll enjoy crocheting this unusual 12 inch doily to add to your collection or to pass on to a bride-to-be".  It was also featured in the Anne Cabot 1957 Needlework Catalog.

• #10 steel crochet hook.
