Anne Cabot Crochet Bed Jacket No 5794

Crocheted Bed Jacket:   This pattern contains directions to crochet the bed jacket, or cape, pictured.   An easy design with delicate lace effects in 3-ply wool.  The pattern is one-size for 16, 18 and 20.   The jacket closing with silk ribbon inserted through beading, short sleeves and embroidered (optional) flower edging.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5794 in 1947.  The newspaper description:  "According to all the fashion writers, the 'new look' is ultra feminine and this lovely crocheted no-seam bed cape is all of that! Made in one piece, laced up under the arms and tied at the neck with narrow silk ribbon. Sweet little flowers embroidered add a glamorous touch".  

Material: 5 balls (2 oz. each) Pink Baby Wool, 3 ply, 3 yds of 1/2* wide pink satin ribbon, 1 1/2 yd of 1* wide pink satin ribbon, 1 skein each of the following colors in 6 strand embroidery floss: light blue, medium blue, medium lavender light pink, medium pink, yellow, light green, medium green, Needle: #1 steel crochet hook.
