Description

Aran Vest:  This pattern contains directions to knit the vest shown. This is a lovely vest, Irish Fisherman, Aran styled, in three different pattern stitches - just like you would expect of an Aran design. The vest has a 5 button closure.  Directions are for size 10. Changes for sizes 12, 14, 16 and 18 are in parentheses.

Materials:

  • COLUMBIA-MINERVA Nan- tuk Knitting Yarn 4 Ply (2 oz. skein) or Knitting Worsted (2 or 4 oz. skein): 10 (10-12-12-14) ozs.
  • 5 buttons.
  • Knitting Needles: 1 pair each No.6 and No.8 or size required to knit to gauge.

Gauge: Stockinette st on No. 8 needles-5 sts = 1"; 7 rows = 1".
