Description

Cameo Crocheted Coverlet:  This pattern contains directions for a Carriage Cover with matching pillow; made of 3-ply Fingering Yarn, worked in single crochet. For the blanket - Knitting Worsted is used for its additional warmth. Both the carriage cover and the blanket are made of 12 cameo crochet squares overcast together. The pillow is made of a single square.   Each square is 10 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2549 in 1940 and again as Design 905 in 1973.
