Baby Knitted Surplice Sweater Pattern No 5348

Surplice Sweater : This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the sweater pictured. The vintage 1948 design was referred to as a surplice. The sweater, knit in baby wool, features a cross-over front and two little buttons at the waist of left hand side. Pattern is written for infant size 1, with changes for size 2 in parentheses.

Materials;

• CHADWICK'S RED HEART BABY WOOL, 4 balls (34 oz. balls) for Size 1; 5 balls for Size 2
• CLARK'S O.N.T. Plastic or Aluminum Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 (2-1/2 mm. size)
• Steel Crochet Hook No. 6
• 6 small pearl buttons.
