Baby Sacque Jacket Pattern for Knit Crochet

Jack and Jill Sacques : This pattern contains directions to create both the sacques shown. This pattern set was issued as a Coats and Clark's leaflet No W-752. It has two sacques; one each for knitting and crochet. The Jioll Version, lacy and full with ribbon ties (shown on the right) is crocheted. The Jack version, minus the girly frills (of course), has a small notch collar and a button neck closure. Both are long sleeved. Sized is not stated, however I'd suggest 6 - 15 months.

Materials - Crocheted Sacque

• COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" BABY WOOL, 3 Ply, Art. E. 277 (l oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 4 skeins of No. 1 White.
• Aluminum or Plastic Crochet Hook No. 5.
• 1-1/2 yards of 1/4-inch ribbon; 2 yards of 1/2-inch ribbon.

GAUGE: 5 dc = 1 inch; 3 dc rows = 1 inch.

Materials - Knitted Sacque

• COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" BABY WOOL, 3 Ply, Art. E. 277 (l oz. "Tangle Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 3 skeins of No. 802 Baby Blue.
• Knitting needles, 1 pair No. 4.
• 1 small button.

GAUGE: 6 sts = 1 inch; 8 rows = 1 inch.
