Beginners Crochet Hat Bag Pattern in Loop Stitch

Loop Trimmed Hat with Matching Bag: This pattern gives directions to crochet the accessory set pictured. This pattern set was released early 1950's in a January & Wood Leaflet (Kentucky Yarns). The hat is an easy cloche styled design and the handbag is a drawstring bag with round bottom and sides. The edges of the hat, and top and bottom of the handbag are decorated with loop stitch trim. The hat is medium size.

Materials:

• 5 skeins KENTUCKY SOFT SPUN Yarn—Style No. 113 (70-yd. skeins) ;
• Crochet hook size "E" or 4.

Gauge: 3 ½ sts = 1 inch, 4 rows = 1 inch.
