Beginners Crochet Maltese Cross Afghan Pillow Pattern, 44 x 66 inches

Maltese Cross : This pattern contains directions to crochet the afghan, throw or pillow pictured. A pretty piece, worked in three colors, made up of 2 3/4 inch square blocks. The squares are simple to crochet, making these a great project for beginners. Join the individual blocks together to form an afghan that measures 44 x 66 inches, as well as a coordinating pillow that is 14 inches square. This pattern design was brought to us by Coats and Clarks in 1952.

• CHADWICK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply, Art. E.232: 15 skeins (1 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins) of No. 676 Emerald; 26 skeins of No. 12 Black and 17 skeins of No.1 White for both Afghan and Pillow.
• Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Crochet Hook No.5.
• A pillow 14 inches square.
