Beginners Striped Bag and Purse Crochet Pattern

Striped Bag and Purse. This pattern contains directions to crochet both the bag and purse shown. Both pieces are so easy they might as well crochet themselves. Well, may not quite that easy, but you get the point. Crocheted in a combination of mercerized crochet cotton and heavy rug yarn in three colors, the bag tote style with crocheted cord handle and the purse, perfect for makeup, or whatever small things you like t contain, has a zipper closure. Both pieces have a bright and color stripe motif. This pattern is vintage 1950s from Spool Cotton Co.

• COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "SPEED-CRO-SHEEN" MERCERIZED COTTON, Art. C.44: 2 balls each of No. 10-A Canary Yellow and No. 123-A Flamingo and 1 ball each of No. 1 White, No. 12-A Blue Sparkle and No. 49-A Killarney.
• CLARK'S O.N.T. COTTON RUG YARN, Art. B.204, 2 balls of No. 1 White.
• Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero).
• 6-inch Crown Zipper, Style F. 1.
