A free swinging bolero - it is a pretty pattern inspired by the honeycomb of a bee.

Description

Honeycomb Jacket :  This pattern contains instructions to knit, with crochet edging, the short jacket pictured. The striped front of the jacket is knitted lengthwise; the back is done in the usual way. Cuffed sleeves at at elbow.   This short jacket, waist length, has short sleeves and an open front.  It is sized 12 to 16. Instructions are for size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 shown in parentheses. 

MATERIALS:  Bear Brand or Fleisher's "Jiffy" Nylon 'n Wool, 4 (4-5) 2-oz. skeins white (W); 1 skein each of black (B), gray (G) and red (R) for stripes;   Plastic knitting needles No. 10. (Or English size 3.);   Plastic crochet hook No.6. 

GAUGE: 15 sts=4"; 34 rows=4" (pat).
