Description

Bolero: This pattern contains directions for knitting the bolero shown. The picture here, originating as a small 4 inch clip, is on the grainy side, but look close, there is great potential here. The bolero, waist length and rounded in the front, has the addition of extended shoulder that lead to short sleeves - worked in seed stitch. To top off the effect, the borders are all trimmed in cable stitch. The pattern, vintage 1950s from January Woods (the makers of the defunct Kentucky Yarn), is one-size for misses 12 - 14.

Materials:

  • Kentucky All Purpose Yarn, 6 skeins white
  • 1 pair knitting needles size 5,
  • 1 double pointed needle size 5.

Gauge: (seed st) 5 sts = 1 inch, 8 rows = 1 inch.
