This box coat has a straight unfitted back, making it hang loosely from the shoulders.  Unfortunately, a quite poor picture, but a quite wonderful coat.

Description

 Box Coat No 2773 : This pattern contains instructions to knit the coat pictured above. This is a boxy coat, typically called a Topper back in the 40 and 50's for is loose fitting quality. The coat is long sleeves with a notch collar, double breasted button effect and hip length.  The pattern is sized 12 to 18. The instructions are written for size 14, with changes for 16 and 18 shown in parentheses.
