Description

Polo Shirt and Cardigan Set: This pattern contains directions for knitting the set shown. Sized for boys 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14, the set includes both a polo shirt and corresponding cardigan. The loose fitting pullover polo is short sleeved with a round banded neckline, hip length and bi-color stripes across the chest. The cardigan has a short v-neckline, long sleeves, front button closure and hip length. It has stripes across the upper sleeves that match up with the chest stripes on the polo. The pattern is vintage 1954.

Materials:   Bishop's Sport Yarn (1-oz. pull-skein). Shirt: 6 (7, 7, 8, 8) sks. of Main Color (A) ; 1/2 sk. each of B and C. Cardigan: 8 (9, 10, 11, 12) sks. of Main Color (A) ; 1/2 sk. each of B and C;   No. 1 and No. 3 knitting needles;   5 buttons for Cardigan.

Finished Knitted Measurements at Chest:   Cardigan-Buttoned : 28 (30, 32, 34, 36)";   Shirt: 26 (28, 30, 32, 34)".
