Description

Boys Slipover:   This pattern gives directions to knit the pullover pictured.   The official 1953 magazine description:  "Subject for study, a teenager's slipon with a many look, thanks to the new raised pattern. A “windowpane check” effect worked in one color, it is actually the product of narrow garter-stitch bands crossed by long, slipped stitches"  

Directions for size 12. Changes for sizes 14 and 16 are in parentheses.

Materials:  

  • "Botany" Brand Sport Yarn, 4 (5-5) 2-oz. skeins No, 950 Macmillan  
  • Knitting needles Nos, 1 and 3, (Or, English sizes, 12 and 10)

Gauge: 7 sts=1"; 9 rows=1".
