Braid Trimmed Double Breasted Knitted Suit Pattern

Braid Trimmed Suit : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet edging, the suit pictured. This design, knit in Boucle, is an intermediate project. The skirt is standard fair, being straight with a elastic waistband. The jacket is a remarkable piece; semi-fitted and quite dramatic. It features long sleeves, a low v-neckline with lapel collar and double breasted detail below breast level to below hip length --- nicely displayed in an inset panel. The edges are trimmed with purchased braid and there is an optional belt. The pattern is written for misses size 12, with changes for 14, 16 and 18 in parentheses.
