Braided Jacket Knitting Pattern

Braid Bound Jacket : This pattern contains instructions for knitting the jacket pictured. This pattern takes us back to 1952 with a fun, casual and loose fitting knitted jacket. The jacket, sized for misses 12, 14, 16 and 18, is long sleeved with a rounded collar, front button band and both upper chest level and below waist pocket flaps.The pocket flaps, collar and button band are trimmed in purchased braid making the detail pop. The jacket is below hip length.

Materials:

• Pingouin Promenade, 50 gr (approx. 2 oz.) balls; 14 (14-15-16), Marengo (Grey);
• Hero Knitting Needles No. 1 (Standard);
• 4 bone buttons, 1";
• 3 yds. White braid, 1";
• 1 pr. shoulder pads.

Gauge: 9 sts1"; 11 rows = 1".
