Butterfly Bows Geometric Bedspread Crochet Pattern

Crocheted Bedspread Design: This pattern contains directions for crocheting the bedspread shown. The small block motif, measuring 3-5/8 inches square features a circular popcorn stitched motif in one corner, with lacy mesh filling the other three quarters of the block. When the blocks are formed together a geometric design evolves, which could easily be viewed as bows, or even butterflies. The instructions are for a spread that measures 74 x 106 inches. Of course, this design would work equally as well for scarves, runners and cloths of varying sizes. A layout chart is included for joining the squares.

Materials:  Lily Six Cord Mercerized Crochet Cotton. Size 10, in Cream, White or Ecru. Single Size-54 balls. double Size-76 balls;   Steel Crochet Hook Size 9.

GAUGE: Each block measures about 3-5/8” square when blocked and requires 26-1/2 yds. For a single size spread about 74 x 106-1/4 inches, make 20 x 29 blocks. For a double size spread about 88-1/2 x 106-1/2 inches, make 24 x 29
