Description

Filet Crocheted Square:  This filet crocheted square can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarves and pillows. The pattern includes a chart for the square.  Crochet the square at 6-1/2 or 10 inches.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.   The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 529 in 1950.   It was previously marketed as Alice Brooks 6234 in 1938.

 
MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook or No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.
Each square requires approximately 150 yards of heavy cotton or 92 yards of fine cotton
