Cable Clock and Striped Anklet Socks Pattern

Knitted Socks: This pattern contains directions for knitting both the pair of socks pictured. Both designs are misses anklets; directions are written for a misses size 9 with instructions to increase or decrease foot section 2" to reach desired size. The anklet shown on the left is a cable clock design. The anklet on the right is a cable stripe. The pattern starts with the cable clock and then details changes to this design for the Cable stripe. This pattern, from Nomotta, is vintage 1952.

Materials:

• Nomotta Mothproof Sock Yarn, 2 1-oz. balls;
• 1 set of Susan Bates DP Needles No. 2.

Gauge: 8-1/2 sts = 1".
