Cabled Blouse Knitting Pattern

Cable Waist Blouse: This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the blouse pictured. This design takes us back to 1954. It features short sleeves, waist length with nice columns of cables running below bust to hemline. All the edges are banded and there is a back neck zipper closure. The pattern is written for misses size 12, with changes for 14, 16 and 18 in parentheses.

Materials:

• Bishop's Fingering, 7 (7-8-8) oz.;
• Knitting Needles Nos. 1 and 3;
• 1 dp needle or cable holder;
• Steel Crochet Hook Size 1;
• Slide fastener 6" long.

Gauge: Stockinette St: 7 sts = 1", 10 rows = 1". Cable Pat: 8 sts = 1"; 11 rows = 1".
