Cabled Vest Westkit Knitting Pattern

Westkit No 2662 : This pattern contains directions to knit the garment pictured, The vest, officially called a Westkit, features a u-scoop neckline, shaped hemline and front button panel. And, if that's not enough, it's worked in a pattern stitch - front and back - of tiny cables. The official 1950 magazine pattern description: "This little item counts a lot in accessory know-how. Knitted in fine cable pattern, it is bound with knitted bias bands and smartly U-necked. The back is patterned also".  SIZES12, 14, 16 - Instructions are for size 12. Changes for sizes 14 and 16 are in parentheses.

Materials :   Spinnerin Touchdown, 6 (6-8) 1-oz. skeins;   Knitting needles No. 3 (standard). English size, 10;   Dp needles No. 3 (only 1 needle is used).
