Calico Floral Crochet Afghan Pattern Blanket Throw

Calico Afghan : This pattern contains directions to crochet the blanket shown. Officially titled Calico, in a 1939 pattern release from The Spool Cotton Company, this colorful piece is made up of 276 blocks, each 5 inches. The are then joined together with the assistance of the included chart to make a finished piece that measures 52 x 72 inches. This afghan, all on its own, will add a bright spot to any room.

Materials:

• CHADWICK'S RED HEART AFGHAN WOOL, 40 skeins (1 oz. skeins) of Cardinal Red and 31 skeins of White.
• MILWARD'S STEEL CROCHET HOOK No. 2/0 (double zero) .

GAUGE: Each block measures about 5 inches between opposite corners.
