Description

Caprice Blanket : This pattern contains directions to crochet the afghan shown. Made up of large blocks, with diamond insets on the corners and pointed edges all the way around, giving it a dimensional and visually interesting different look. The blanket measures 48 x 52 inches when completed. Charts are included for joining of the various blocks. The pattern was issued by the Spool Cotton Company back in 1939 who noted "This lovely patchwork design will make itself at home in a dozen different rooms; a morning to night favorite".

Materials:

  • CHADWICK'S RED HEART AFGHAN WOOL, 21 skeins (1 oz. skeins) of Light Rose, 21 skeins of Gobelin Blue and 10 skeins of Deep Purple.
  • MILWARD'S STEEL CROCHET HOOK No. 2/0 (double zero) .

GAUGE: When joined, block measures 6 inches between opposite corners.
