Cherry Flower Motif Crocheted Place Mats Pattern

Cherry Roll and Garden Party Place Mat Sets : This pattern contains directions to crochet both the mats shown. First there is the Cherry Roll mat, pictured at the top, that has a pocket with a sweet cherry motif pocket, to stash the silverware. It measures 13 x 18 inches. Then, there is the Garden Party Mat, two toned with a light flower motif on the inside border, which is 11 x 18 inches. These two designs are vintage early 1950s from Lily Mills.

Materials - Cherry Roll

• Lily SKY-TONE Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 12:1:- 4 balls Shd. Blue and 1/2 ball Lt. Blue; and Lily Pearl Cotton, Art. 39, size 5:- 2/3 ball Scarlet and 1/2 ball Shd. Greens (sufficient for one Doily).
• Steel crochet hook No. 10 .

Materials - Garden Party

• DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 65:- 4 skeins each Lt. Yellow and Lt. Green size 20.; or Lily MER CROCHET Cotton, Art. 161:- 8 balls each Yellow and Bright Nile Green size 20.; and Lily Pearl Cotton, Art. 39, size 5:- 2 balls Scarlet;andLily SKY-TONE Mercerized Crochet Cotton. Art. 123:- 2 balls Emerald Green: and Lily Six Strand Floss:- 1 skein deep Yellow (sufficient for 4 Doilies).
• Steel crochet hooks Nos. 12 and 10..
