Cherry Motif Pot Holder and Place Mat Crochet Pattern Set

Cherry Ripe : This pattern contains directions to crochet the set shown. Going back to 1950s, from Coats and Clark's, the set includes a 12 x 18 inch place mat as well as a 11-1/2 inch hot mat or pot holder. The hot mat hangs with an (optional) bone ring and has a four cherry motif and felt lining. The placemats has the same cherries in the upper left corner with a smaller cherry motif in the opposite corner. What a fun splash of color for the kitchen.

Materials:   COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "SPEED-CRO-SHEEN" MERCERIZED COTTON, Art. C. 44: 6 balls of No.1 White for Place Mat, Hot Plate Mat and Pot Holder; and J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN," Art.A. 64: 1 ball each of No. 48 Hunter's Green for leaves and No. 126 Spanish Red for cherries;   Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 1/0 (zero) for "Speed-Cro-Sheen"; or No.7 for "Knit-Cro-Sheen.;   ¼ yard of white felt and a bone ring.
