Chic Knitted Two Piece Suit Pattern

Classic Two Piece Suit : This pattern contains instructions to knit, crochet edges, the classic two piece suit pictured above. Reminiscent of Jackie O' style (as it should, being vintage 1966), the simple jacket has a banded V-neckline, three quarter sleeves and hip length. The skirt is straight (knit to your desired length) with a waistband and side zipper closure. The pattern is sized 12 to 16. Instructions are written for size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parentheses.

Materials:   Ungers Palm Beach (50 gram ball) - 12 (14-15) balls;   Knitting Needles - 1 pair of No 4;   No 1 steel crochet hook;   1 yard of 1 1/2" grosgrain ribbon;   7 inch skirt zipper;   2 snap fasteners;   3/4 yard of taffeta lining (optional);   4 buttons

Gauge: 7 sts = 1 inch.
