Child Knit Cable Aran Cardigan Pattern

Aran Knit Cardigan :  This pattern contains directions to knit the cardigan shown.   This pattern, vintage 1960s from Coats and Clark, is referred to as an Aran.  I'm not sure it has that degree of changing pattern stitch, it does however, two quite attractive diamond cable bands down the front sides.  It also features long sleeves, a 6 button front band, high round neckline, long sleeves, and ribbing.  This pattern, sized for either girls, boys or toddlers between 4 and 12.   Instructions are written for size 4, with changes for 6, 8, 10 and 12 in parentheses.
