Description

Knitted Cap:  This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the cap pictured.   The official 1953 magazine description:  "Crescent-shaped helmet cap fits snugly on Linda's head, fastens with "shoe-lace" ties to keep her ears well covered. Garter-stitch border. Knit of Nomotta Nylon. Fits one-to-four-year-olds". 

Materials:  

  • Nomotta Nylon, 1 1-oz. ball. 
  • Knitting needles No. 2. (Or, English size 11.) 
  • Steel crochet hook No. 5.  

Gauge: 8 sts=1" ; 12 rows=l" (stockinette st).
