Childs Tree of Life Sweater Knitting Pattern

Aran Sweater Pattern : This pattern contains directions to knit the pullover pictured. This design, often referred to as "Tree of Life" is brought to us in an early 1960's Bernat pattern. The base sweater design is long sleeved, hip length will all over pattern motif. The pattern gives two variations; one with a high round neckline and one with a v-neckline. The advanced pattern is childs size small (4-6), medium (8-10) and large (12-14).

Materials:

• BERNAT BLARNEY-SPUN (2 oz, balls) — 8 (9-10)
• 1 pair each BERNAT-Aero straight knitting needles Nos, 3 and 6 (Canadian needles Nos, 11 and 8) OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES THAT WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE
• 1 set BERNAT-Aero d p needles No 3 (Canadian needles No 11)
• 1 BERNAT-Aero cable stitch needle

GAUGE: 13 sts = 2 inches; 7 rows = 1 inch
