Chunky Crochet Rug Pattern, Oblong and Oval

Stripes and Fringe:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the rug shown.   The vintage 1954 American Thread design is an easy pattern with a chunky pattern stitch in two colors of Heavy Rug Yarn.  The pattern includes two sizes - a large oblong rug that is 25 x 36 inches and has fringed end; the smaller oval rug that is 15-1/2 x 23-1/2 inches.   This pattern is part of a book review on American Thread 134.
