Cinderella Filet Crochet Chair Set Pattern, Mail Order 949

Filet Crocheted Chair Set Pattern:  This pattern gives directions to create the chair set pictured.   The pattern contains both detailed written directions for the filet crochet, as well as charts.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed by Needlework Bureau as E-949.  The newspaper description:  "Cinderella chair set in interesting to make in filet crochet. In the arm rests she is kneeling in the ashes by the fireplace, and in the headrest she is dressed for the ball".

MATERIAL: About 700 yds of #40 Cream or White Mercerized crochet Cotton. Use a #12 steel crochet-hook. If this size of thread and hook are used, the Head Rest will measure about 15"x 16"; the Arm Rest, 5-1/2 x 10", after blocking. If #30 thread is used, with a #10 hook, the set will be larger. 

This is a fine lace chair set pattern, and is not designed for making in coarse thread. Use #30 or #40 (see size described under Material) for best results.
