Circle Motif Doily Vanity Set Crochet Pattern

Vanity Set:  This pattern gives directions crochet both of the doilies pictured above.  In earlier days, these type doilies were frequently used on ladies dressing areas; thus the name vanity set.  The larger doily features a circular motif - a center circle surrounded by eight additional circles.   The smaller doily is a circle of mesh, surrounded by a very frilly doily.  Both doilies are two tone.  The larger doily is 16 inches; the small doilies are 9 inches.

Materials: 

• - DAISYMERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Art. 65, Size 20: 2 skeins Whiteand 1 skein Turquoise (or other color).
• - No.12 Steel Crochet Hook. 
•  7/8” HairpinStaple (outside measure)
