Classic Sailor Hat Crochet Pattern

P.C. 1316 : This pattern contains directions to crochet the hat shown. The design, vintage 1943, from the Spool Cotton Company is called a Sailor Hat - obviously for the way it is small and leans toward the front of the head. In todays terms, this may more be called a mini hat, or mini-top hat. This is a one size pattern. This is a head strap that pins to back of head, or goes under your hair to hold the hat in place.

Materials:

• CHADWICK'S RED .HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 3 balls (1 oz. balls).
• Bone Crochet Hook No.8.
• 1 yard of ribbon.
• 31 inches of millinery wire.

Use a double strand throughout.
