Classic Shrug Knit Crochet Pattern

Classic Shrug :   This pattern is a combination of knit and crochet the piece shown.    This shrug is made up of a small x-motifs - see diagram of the pattern stitch.   This is one of those patterns where we'd like to tell the designer ... turn around, let's see the front.    But, alas, that did not happen.   From the pattern directions I can input only that it continues in the rounded movement across the open front.   This is a one size design - vintage 1950s from American Thread. 

This shrug can be made with any of the following:

• "DAWN"or "CLOVER LEAF" NYLON
• "DAWN"or "CLOVER LEAF" NYLON POMPADOUR
• "DAWN"DACRON FINGERING YARN

• 6 ozs. Amber or Buttercup or color desired. 
• Afghan hook size F.
• 1pro plastic knitting needles No.2.  

GAUGE: 5 sts = l inch.
