Crochet Afghan Blanket, Tunisian Embroidered

Fireside Formality: This pattern gives directions to crochet the blanket pictured.   This design is made in large afghan stitch blocks with a Tunsian embroidery motif worked to chart in checkerboard (every other block) format.  The afghan is comprised on 36 blocks, resulting in a blanket measuring 59 x 68 inches when completed.   A contrast border is worked all around.

Materials Required:  - Chadwicks Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 60 balls (1 oz balls) of Light Yellow; 8 balls of Brown for Border and Embroidery;   Bone Afghan Hook No 6. (4 1/4 mm).
