Crochet Afghan Pattern, 50 x 60 inches in Germantown

Germantown Afghan: This pattern contains directions to crochet the afghan pictured. Now, the picture here is not great, but it is a quite great afghan. This is a block motif piece on the large side, with each square measuring 8 1/4 inches. The squares are worked in 5 complimentary colors and then joined to form an afghan that measures 50 x 60 inches. One could, of course, increase the size be adding additional rows. The pattern is vintage 1947 and is named Germantown in reference to the yarn used.
