Crochet Afghan Pattern Highlander Plaid Tartan

Highlander :  This pattern gives directions to crochet the afghan pictured.  This is an easy afghan, primarily worked in double crochet with in multiple colors.  Contrasting knitting worsted is then woven through with a tapestry hook to give the plaid effect.   This vintage, 1941, afghan measures 45 x 72 inches.  Finish with fringe, if desired. 

Materials Required:  - American Thread Company Dawn Knitting Worsted or Dawn Germantown Wool in Amber, Leaf Green, Tangerine and blue (or colors of your choice);   - 1 Bone Crochet Hook No 4 or Aluminum Hook Size F;   - 1 Large Tapestry Needle.

Gauge: 2 meshes = 1 inch; 2 rows= 1 inch.
