Description

Crochet Baby Cape - Baby Goes Bye-Bye:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the baby cape pictured.  The fairly easy design is worked in a combination of Saxony and silk yarn and features a hood and ribbon ties.  The pattern description:  Baby looks his best in soft cuddly clothes so knowing this our designer turned out this attractive crocheted cape with attached hood for the newcomer or the little one a few months old. In soft yarn of delicate pastel shade the cape is dressy enough for any baby occasion and -warm enough so mother will not have to worry about draughts. The stitchery is simple thus enabling nimble fingers to complete the wrap in a few sittings".   Note:  The pattern is written in All-Caps.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts No 1407 in 1943.
