Description

Crochet Baby Dresses :   This pattern gives directions to crochet both of the baby dresses picture.  These patterns, vintage 1942 are grouped with room for baby to grow ... The top is named Peggy No 747 and is written for Size 3 years.  The bottom dress is named Carol is actually termed a Frock, and is Size 2 years. Both dresses feature cute pull sleeves, ribboned bodices and round necklines.  Carol has a small collar.   Note:  The nylon thread referred to is obsolete; use any material that will meet pattern gauge. 

Peggy Dress

  • Lorraine Perlette (All Rayon), 11 balls. 
  • Steel Crochet Hook, Size 5.

 

GAUGE:  Before Blocking: 2 patterns = 2 ¼ inches; 17 rows = 4 inches;   After Blocking : 2 patterns 2 ¼ inches; 4 rows = 1 inch  

MEASUREMENTS-Chest 23-24. inches. Width at lower edge, 36 inches. Length to underarm 121/2 inches. Length to back of neck, 16 ½ inches. Sleeve-Width 8 inches. 

Carol Dress 

  • Lorraine Perlettet (All Rayon), 11 balls.  
  • Steel Crochet Hook, Size 6.  


GAUGE: Before Blocking-1 pattern=1 inch; 17 rows=2 inches 

MEASUREMENTS-Chest 22-23 inches. Length from lower edge to underarm 12 inches - to back of neck 16 inches. Width of skirt 32 inches. Sleeve - Width at underarm 9 inches.
