Crochet Basket Insertion, Pocket with Edging, Mail Order 7378

Crocheted Basket and Edging:  This pattern contains directions for a crocheted basket and matching edging. The basket is to be used as a pocket on towels to hold wash cloth. It can be worked in heavy cotton for decorating terry towels or fine cotton for linen hand towels.  Crochet in two sides - basket can be 4-1/4 x 5-1/4 or 6 x 8 inches and the edging 3/4 or 1/2 inch wide. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7378.   The newspaper description:  "Basket to hold a washcloth! Add it to bath towels or hand towels - such a pretty touch for a modern bathroom. Plain crochet and popcorn stitch in string or fine cotton to contrast or match".
