Description

Crocheted Medallion:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the medallion picture.  The crocheted medallion can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No.30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, clothe, scarfs, pillows and other household articles. The pattern also contains directions for making fringe.   Crochet this hexagon medallion at 5-1/2 or 7 inches from point to point. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as The American Weekly 3301 in 1941. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.   Each medallion requires approximately 57 yards of heavy cotton or 40 yards of fine cotton.
