The combination of Irish Crochet with the tufted popcorn stitch in this bedspread is very effective, especially when it is made in soft gleaming Knit-Cro-Sheen, Twisted strands of the Knit-Cro-Sheen form the fringe of the bedspread.

Description

Irish Popcorn Crochet Bedspread:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the bedspread pictured.   This 5 inch square features the so textured result of popcorn stitching along with a delicate flower center.  Crochet the squares and join to size desired, finishing with lush fringe.  A full page layout chart is included. This design is vintage 1934.  

MATERIALS:  1 Milward's steel crochet hook No.6 or 7;   Choose one of the following threads in White or Ecru:  J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen (approx. 76 balls);   Clark's O.N.T. Lustersheen (approx. 58 skeins);   Clark's O.N.T. Knitting and Crochet Cotton (approx. 58 balls).    This amount is sufficient for a double size spread.
